We are in the Savannah Region as part of our ongoing needs assessment of referral health facilities in the newly created regions.
Our team rounded up the day at the Bole Municipal Hospital, where we assessed the facility’s capacity as they partner with the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) in delivering specialized medical care to people in the region battling chronic non-communicable diseases.
Hospital management described a partnership with the Ghana Medical Trust Fund as a dream come true, noting that with the provision of some critical medical equipment, the facility would be well-positioned to fully support the Fund’s mandate.
In essence, retooling the hospital would unlock its full potential to serve the people of the Savannah Region.
GMTF’s Health Policy Advisor, Dr. Norbert Kipo, requested that management submit a detailed list of their most pressing needs to the Trust Fund for consideration.
