Yvonne Sedegah is the Acting Deputy Director for Benefits at the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, bringing over 23 years of public service experience in labour issues and health insurance.
She holds a Master’s in Economic Policy Management from the University of Ghana, an MA in International Development Studies (Women and Development) from Ewha Womans University in South Korea, and a BA in Economics and Sociology from the University of Ghana.
She joined the National Health Insurance Authority in 2010, where she led research on the NHIS Medicines List, service tariffs, and benefit packages. As a Senior Manager in Strategic Health Purchasing, she led reviews of tariffs and benefits, engaged stakeholders, and monitored implementation to ensure quality care and sustainability of the NHIS.
