Management of the Worawora Government Hospital in the Oti Region has expressed strong optimism that patients under their care will once again find hope and renewed smiles through a partnership with the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF).
The Medical Superintendent, Dr. Godwin Adukpo, together with his management team, believes the support expected from the GMTF will be truly transformational; strengthening the hospital’s capacity and positively impacting countless lives.
A delegation from the Ghana Medical Trust Fund today successfully concluded its nationwide tour of referral health facilities in the six newly created regions at the Worawora Government Hospital.
The visit marked a significant milestone in the Fund’s preparedness ahead of full operational rollout.
The team, led by the Health Policy Advisor, Dr. Norbert Kipo, assessed the hospital’s needs and readiness to receive and manage patients who will be referred under the GMTF programme.

With this final engagement, the Ghana Medical Trust Fund has now completed visits to all six teaching hospitals, all regional hospitals, and designated referral facilities in regions without regional hospitals underscoring its firm commitment to building a strong, equitable, and responsive healthcare referral network nationwide.
