Yes. The broader mandate of GMTF includes cancers, cardiovascular diseases, kidney diseases, stroke, diabetes and other chronic non-communicable diseases approved by the Board of Trustees.

However, the GMTF package is being implemented in phases. This means that although a disease may fall within the Trust Fund’s overall mandate, GMTF may not yet have approved and begun financing a full treatment package for that disease.
